Lozano is a fictional guitar company that is located in the always beautiful Hollywood, CA. The goal of the company was sell quality guitars, the world over, at a cheap cost as way to bring people in & have them rock out in style. With the guitars they would also provide a vast amount of accessories , ranging from guitar picks, amps, all the way down to guitar strings.
The inspiration for the logo itself was a hand done lettering, similar to other guitar companies in the industry today. For the brand itself, I wanted to go for simple here, letting the pictures tell the story but also adding in little bits of italian for the guitar company do to the origin of the name Lozano.
Wilson's Brew is a fictional gourmet soda company who is located in Canoga Park, CA. The brewery would be an affordable gourmet soda that would appear in stores across the nation and eventually the world. The brand would be so successful it would then venture in making gourmet teas as well.
For this brand I wanted it to be very welcoming since it was a gourmet soda. I decided that doing a badge type treatment for logo would help me achieve this & would allow me to make subtle changes to the logo to match the flavors of soda as well as the gourmet teas that the company would dive into later.
Sourcefed Steakhouse is a fictional high end restaurant located in Seattle, WA. It strides to provide excellent steaks as well as other cuisines. If you come here be prepared to leave here with your wallet empy with our great but expensive menu items and though you are broke for the rest of the week you'll leave here think to yourself it was worth every penny.
For the logo treatment wanted to go for more of a rough look to match other modern day steakhouses. but wanted to also use iconography as well so also brought in some patterns featuring silhouettes a cow, pig, & chicken, the 3 meats used at that restaurant. The patterns would help set it apart from other moderned day steakhouses.
Infinity Air is a fictional private jet airline based in Austin, Texas whose goal is to provide luxurious flying at an affordable rate to everyone while still maintaining the standards of private jet airline, advertising luxury high up in the clouds.
With this brand I really wanted to go for a more elegent look, really playing off the philosophy of “Less is more” & try appeal both the middle & upper class individuals. With trying to appeal to both classes, I had to incorporate things in the brand that would appeal to both. Going for colors that had a good contrast that I play around with forming the brand.
Chai-Time is a fictional tea cafe based in Orlando, FL. There style is a east meets west with themed gourmet sandwiches plus a unique blend of authentic side salads and a wide variety of loose leaf teas and a delicious array of sweets to tantilize your taste buds! While at the same time you know you will get good quality food everytime you stop by for a bite.
As mentioned earlier I really wanted to go for an indian meets asian style for this brand. Sticking to simple color association for the primary colors. By choosing this style it allowed me to design some really nice patterns themed by some of the cultural elements of the region making the brand really unique.
8 Bit Sukētā is a fictional skateboard company based in California with a goal of bringing skateboarding to our eastern neighbors along with bringing the latest western trends as well. The main target is Japan, with the company expanding from their depending various factors. The name Sukētā is japanese for skater, to really help bring people in to the brand.
Doing a brand like this was really a dream come true for a person like me. A person who is so heavily influenced by that part of the world. With that being said I really wanted to merge our cultures together with this brand. Mashing our fashion trends with some of the most iconic parts of their culture & some of their characters as well.
So one thing to note about KN Photography & its that KN Photography is actually a real company. Well not really but it is a company a buddy of mine is starting up & he came to me to help brand with two restrictions (it would be too easy otherwise). The first being that it had to have something to do with medieval knights & reference the nephrite (jade) in some way.
For this brand I really wanted to go for a minimal treatment with the brand, allowing for the photography to really to shine or in other words make the photography do all the work cause I’m lazy. Also wanted to give it a corporate feel due to it being for a real company my buddy is starting up in the near future.
Rev Motors is a company based out of Silicon Valley, CA that makes cars, more specifically they make cars that run on hydrogen motors, also known as cars that run on water. These cars would be sold at a low price as to motivate people to make the change to a new car. Especially a car that would lower the air pollution that is currently in our country by engines running on gasoline.
With this brand I wanted to go for a corporate feel while adding in a bit of a futuristic sci-fi styling as well due the product produced by the company, which will be the first commercial use of that kind of engine. Also wanted use different shades of blue to bridge the brand to the hydrogen motor.
Testaroosa Tattoo Parlor is a fictional tattoo shop located in Miami, FL that brings an 80’s feel to everything they do. Specializing in custom and traditional tattoos, Testarossa Tattoo Parlor pays homage to the one of the most impactful eras of our nation’s history.
With this brand I was aiming to have you step back in time to another era, an era that to some people was our golden age for not just our style but way of life. So with this brand I wanted to bring iconic pieces of that time time period, such as patterns as well as physical pieces that popular in that time. For color I wanted to steer away from the dark tones of normal tattoo shops & go for more vibrant colors to really bring you into the brand.
All the work here is work I did while I was employed by Black Tie Digital Marketing. I mostly worked on projects for small, local companies. Including logo design, typographical solutions, branding, marketing, media kits, and maintaining consistency across various media integrated campaigns, both in web and print. I worked on the art that promotes the various in-game programs for the Madden Ultimate Team game mode through the main tiles within the game. I also work on pack and bundle art for the in-game store thats part of that same game mode through the same method.All art shown is owned by Electronic Arts (EA).
